The Way We Live Now

As Sir Terence Conran celebrates his 80th birthday, the Design Museum marks the occasion with an exhibition that explores his unique impact on contemporary life in Britain called The Way We Live Now. Conran has transformed the British way of life from establishing high street's favourite 'Habitat' in 1964 to establishing a design and architecture studio with world wide reach today.

The exhibition traces his career from post-war austerity through to the new sensibility of the Festival of Britain in the 1950s, the birth of the Independent Group and the Pop Culture of the 1960s, to the design boom of the 1980s and on to the present day.

Running from 16th November to 4th March the exhibition promises to give an insightful look into Conran's illustrious career. We'll be sure to put this in our diary as a definite must see this winter.
